Spaniard climbs to 33rd on Road to Mallorca as MENA Golf Tour pathway continues to deliver
Juan Salama produced the standout result of his HotelPlanner Tour campaign to date, finishing tied-third at the Danish Golf Challenge at Odense Eventyr Golf on Sunday.
The Spaniard, who finished runner-up in the 2025/26 MENA Golf Tour Rankings, posted rounds of 65, 70, 66 and 71 to close on 16 under par, two strokes behind play-off winner Tapio Pulkkanen of Finland and runner-up Maxence Giboudot of France.
Salama shared third with Sweden’s Algot Kleen and Adam Wallin, picking up €18,000 and a significant haul of Road to Mallorca points. He now sits 33rd on the season-long rankings as he hunts down a DP World Tour card for 2027.
The result is the latest validation of the MENA Golf Tour’s strengthened pathway to European professional golf. Salama earned his place at Odense Eventyr through one of four HotelPlanner Tour invitations awarded to leading players from the 2025/26 MENA Golf Tour season, alongside Rankings winner Chris Wood, third-placed Pierre Pineau and fourth-placed Jack Davidson.
Salama’s season on the MENA Golf Tour included a victory at the Madinaty Open in Egypt and consistent finishes across the schedule, taking him to 33,050 points from seven starts and second place in the Final Rankings behind Wood.
He also holds a direct exemption into Stage Two of DP World Tour Qualifying School in October 2026, secured through his top-three finish in the MENA Golf Tour Rankings.
